Chesapeake Bay oysters

What inspired this garnish?

The inspiration for this cocktail are oysters – oysters are something very near and dear to me having grown up in Virginia. The best oysters are near the 38th latitude, so the Chesapeake Bay area. I wanted to incorporate those in this drink.
